The Sun has launched its own military awards to salute itself the armed forces.

And they don’t seem too popular.

To add insult to injury, The Sun has named it after the Foreign Secretary and his cabinet minister brother, David and Ed Miliband.

Category number 2 is interesting.
Support to the Armed Forces
The winner of this award will be a civilian - a civil servant, a contractor or just an ordinary member of the public - who has provided invaluable help to the Armed Forces.

Will apologists Geoff Hoon, John Reid or Des Browne get the nod for their unstinting work ensuring essential military equipment was always at hand? Maybe Gordon or even Tony Blair….

Nice response on one of the U.S. blogs to an article enquiring whether Sarah Palin is a Creationist.
Palin has advocated teaching both evolution and creationism in schools. The U.S. blog reckons that this (and other answers she has given) does make her a creationist.

The response to the article :
“To those who say “teach both in our public schools“, I say “why stop there? “Why not teach both in Sunday school as well?”
“You know, don’t be afraid of information.”

I’ve tried to extend the protection of my image server by inputting a range of IP addresses rather than individual IPs. i.e. stopping The Daily Mail and The Telegraph from easily obtaining free images to subsidise their editorial budgets.
If any regular non-media visitors have problems, can you let me know via email (and not using a non-traceable email address).
